Melissa Crawford
Melissa serves as the administrator of our closed Facebook group, a role she has dedicated herself to since 2013 before joining us as full-time staff in 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Substance Abuse Counseling from SUNY Brockport. Melissa is also a mother of two adult children and a proud grandmother. Her journey into perinatal mental health advocacy is rooted in her own experiences with pregnancy loss, infertility, adoption, and postpartum depression. In 2006, she joined a perinatal mental health messaging board as an administrator, which later inspired and supported PSI’s creation of our current Facebook group, where Melissa now leads with empathy and compassion. In her downtime, Melissa enjoys reading and spending time by the water with her soul dog, Banjo.
