The PSI Advanced Trainings provided via Zoom will adhere to Certification guidelines and meet the requirements for the advanced prerequisite for the exam application.
Postpartum Support International presents a 6-hour advanced course on psychiatric pharmacology during pregnancy and lactation, for those who prescribe, taught by perinatal psychiatric experts. It is an interactive, case-based advanced seminar covering differential diagnosis, medication challenges, case examples, research on medication safety, and your questions. Participants should have previously completed at least 14 hours of perinatal mental health training.
This course or an alternative approved course is a pre-requisite for the perinatal mental health certification in the psychopharmacology specialty.
If you’re already experienced in the field of Reproductive Psychiatry, this may not be an advanced course for you.
PSI’s two-day Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care training or an equivalent fourteen-hour perinatal mood disorders certificate course is a pre-requisite for this advanced training. Please contact certification@postpartum.net with questions you may have about meeting the pre-requisite.
