Courtney Ginder, PMH-C
Courtney is the Social Media Community Manager for PSI and The Climb, and has a BA in Professional Writing and a BS in Psychological Sciences from Purdue University. She has over 10 years of experience in writing, communications, and design, and is also the Social Media Chair for the Indiana Chapter of PSI. Shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Courtney was diagnosed with postpartum depression, and she also experienced prenatal depression while pregnant with her son in 2023. Her experience has made her into a passionate advocate for perinatal mental health and determined to support new parents and let them know they are not alone and they can get better.
Courtney found PSI through The Climb and was a Climb Leader for the Greater Indianapolis area who, with her co-leader, raised over $65,000 for the Indiana Chapter of PSI over two years. She also manages a social media account and blog, Beyond Postpartum Depression, where she hopes to raise awareness of perinatal mental health disorders and show more parents that they are not alone and they can get better. In her free time, she loves to read, write, and volunteer with her service organization, the Eta Pi chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. She lives in Indiana with her husband, children, and cat.
