
Andrea Clark
Andrea Clark is an attorney, ordained minister and counselor who is passionate about the holistic well-being of all people, especially those in marginalized communities. Immediately prior to joining PSI, Andrea worked as Staff Chaplain for Women’s Health at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago where she cared for the spiritual and emotional needs of families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss and illness, birthing, and pregnancy complications in addition to tending to the spiritual and emotional needs of chronically and terminally ill adults and their families.
Andrea spent the first decade of her post-graduate career as an attorney for the Chicago Board of Education. She has served as a consultant, arbitrator and hearing officer for educational institutions for student and employee related issues in the school context in the Chicago Area. She is a past recipient of the National Bar Association’s Nation’s Best Advocates: 40 Under 40 Award.
Andrea is currently a PhD Student in Religion and Psychology at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and is training to become a licensed clinical professional counselor. Her research will focus on how African American women perceived support from clergy during and following early pregnancy loss. Andrea received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College, a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary at Northwestern University.
