On August 19th, 2023, at 12:34 AM, Emily brought her son, Phineas Tyler, into this world. Days later, on August 28th, she checked into an emergency mental health hospital.
Emily is a survivor of postpartum psychosis and depression. As she heals from her own traumatic experience, she wants to do everything she can to show other survivors that healing is possible. She participates in a variety of projects that work to break the crushing stigma that surrounds PPP. Emily is a middle school teacher in Ohio and lives happily with her husband, son, and golden retriever.
